Catalyst is a “front-to-back” innovation system driven by “usage” insight that will boost your companies growth success rates. We called this system (and our company) Catalyst because we believe that it has the power to transform a brands growth prospects. Catalyst employs a set of unique methods that have been developed and optimized over many years and hundreds of projects. These methods include analytical, creativity, consumer research, and financial tools and frameworks that have proven to generate superior “usage” insight and result in growth initiatives that get to the marketplace and succeed.

Catalyst has two distinct but integrated phases.

The work of Catalyst is organized into two phases. Each phase contains a series of modules (methods and frameworks) that GC uses to help solve your specific issues in a way that best meets your needs.

Connector Phase

Connector is a data driven phase that “connects” the brand to a series of high potential new growth opportunities that GC calls DigSites. Connector surfaces DigSites by employing a number of breakthrough analytical tools that both reveal and dissect the brands “usage” and “user” universe. Connector then quantifies the potential of these DigSites for the brand which enables the team to make highly informed strategic choices on where the brand will and won’t focus it’s growth and innovation efforts.

Converter Phase

Converter is built around our time-tested creativity system that helps internal teams translate sizable consumer disappointments or wishes into successful new growth initiatives. We start with DigSites and end with a pipeline of concrete initiatives that have been screened, optimized and sized using GC’s custom consumer research.
